Aims of the Working Group
1. The aim of the new WG is to roll out the recommendations and work of the third WHO Patient Safety Challenge on Antimicrobial Resistance through the ISC affiliated societies and Federations. 

2. There are 5 sections, namely: a) Antibiotic Stewardship, b) Infection Control, c) Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and aquaculture, d) R&D and e) Surveillance. These will be complemented  by interaction with appropriate ISC Working Groups including eg. WGs on Antimicrobial Stewardship, "Sub-Saharan network", Antimicrobials of the Future, HAIR (human/animal antibiotic interphase), Infections in Catastrophic Areas, MRSA, ICU infections and Zoonosis.
