Introduction
The ISC Working Group on Collateral Effects of Anti-infectives was founded during a DMS Conference in Bucharest, 4 – 6 October 2006, chaired by Mihai Nechifor (Lasi, Romania) and the late Jean Claude Pechere (Geneva, Switzerland).
Aims of the Working Group
Increasing the ADRs report correctness regarding the anti-infective drugs in hospitalized patients and outpatients.
ADRs in the cases of self medication with anti-infective drugs.
ADRs study in on-label versus off-label use of the anti-infective drugs.
Study about the ADRs in prophylactic use of anti-infectives.
Pathways and methods to decrease ADRs incidence.
Working Plan
To organise a symposium in the 27th ICC / 21st ECCMID, Milan, Italy, 2011.
To continue the surveillance activity of the adverse reactions of the anti-infective drugs and the economical impact.
To start research about the adverse reactions in the case of the off label use of the anti-bacterials.
To increase the number of members in our working group.
To present papers in the international scientific meetings.
