The symposium on "Severe
Infections" went very well. There were about
150 participants. The main topics were sepsis (pathophysiology
and therapeutic targets), sepsis due to HAP and VAT,
urosepsis, meningococcal sepsis and meningitis, and
hemorrhagic fever in Kosova. There were two foreign
speakers: Prof. Bernd Salzberger from Regensburg,
Germany, and myself. It was agreed that another symposium
will be planned for next year.

President Kosova of Chemotherapy and Infection
Professor Krasniqi wished to thank
Professor Naber very much for his personal contribution
to the symposium. He also wished to thank all other
friends from the ISC for their support to the Kosova
Society of Chemotherapy and Infection. He hoped ISC
would continue to support both the Kosova society
and the Kosova healthcare institutions.
