It is our very great pleasure to invite you to attend the 8^th European Congress of Chemotherapy and Infection and 4^th European Conference on Viral Diseases to be held in Budapest, Hungary, the city of Semmelweis, in October 2006.

This meeting will include, as usual, scientific presentations, symposia, expert lectures on the development and controversies on the prevention and treatment of viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic infections, including the latest advances in these fields.

It will also host the National meeting of the Hungarian Society of Chemotherapy and, for the first time, include in its Scientific Programme the European Conference on Viral Diseases, ConVir, which will constitute the virology track of ECC 8/ConVir 4 Budapest Congress.

For the first time too, an exceptional contribution of the former Eastern Europe countries will be made to the Scientific Programme.

This programme will be CME accredited for specialists and specific CME sessions will be organised for General Practitioners.
