Dear Colleagues and Friends

Since 1959, the International Society of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ISAC) has travelled the globe with its biennial International Congress of Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (ICC); 2019 will be the first time the Congress is brought to the Gulf Region.

ISAC is delighted to be partnering with the Saudi Society for Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (SSMMID) and Emirates Infectious Diseases Society (EIDS) which organise the Gulf Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (GCCMID). All three societies are proud to collaborate and deliver the joint 31st ICC / 4th GCCMID in Dubai, 6-9 November 2019.

Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is a global city, international business centre and major worldwide transport hub. With its many hotels, world-class shopping, amazing desert landscape and the world’s tallest building (the Burj Khalifa) Dubai is a vibrant city of contrasts that has something to offer everybody. Its forward-thinking leadership created the Dubai Health Authority in 2007 and the city hosts some of the world’s foremost international clinics, hospitals and universities.

We are working on a scientific programme that will bring together world and regional leaders specialising in infectious diseases, antimicrobial chemotherapy, infection control, and clinical microbiology and look forward to welcoming you to the 31st ICC / 4th GCCMID.

Professor Po-Ren Hsueh
ISAC / 31st ICC President
